Why do people continue to use that excuse as to the Xbox 360's lead? Microsoft has worked to put out quality software, and sold systems to do so? Secondly did not Sega's Dreamcast have a year head start, and Sony's PS2 blow past them? Even more relevant today...Didn't the Nintendo Wii launch with in the same time frame as the PS3, but it is the system that beats both the PS3 and Xbox 360. In fact looking at December 2009 NPD didn't it outsell both combined?
How does an article in it's opening sentence site the fact that 70-80% of developers in the world are creating titles. Then goes on to highlight two negative remarks? Wtf? How do you have that many developing, but not explain that? Stepping back you ask yourself as a reader do these two developers who questioned Project Natal have credibility with creating top notch titles this generation versus those 70-80%? Out the gate the article kills itself.
Looking that way for me as well. What impresses me so far is that this Halo is going to be strategic by offering classes of Spartan types. From Heavy Gunner to Light. Then throw in a female, I can only imagine what abilities each will have that's exclusive to them. Then to say they have 10 pages of info, and an upcoming beta. Wow...just...Wow. I know the Halo hate brigade is around the corner waiting to pounce, but this is seriously cool.
That's an interesting thought. Except Nintendo always does that. Nintendo rarely sticks to one format. They always find a way to be divergent of what is going on in gaming. If Microsoft and Sony's idea is to be pre-emtive of a Wii HD. Then they have missed what it means to truly compete against Nintendo. Remember the Wii is not new technology, but rather a compliment of technologies to create a gaming experience. It would behoove both the other manufacturers to approach their own identity fro...
Because of this one reason. The attention it is getting is so disparaging that it's creating a buzz of both Yes, and No for it. I recently read that a product, or service can only be successful if it does this. Even a person. Some people will like other will not. The bottom line is everyone is looking to have an opinion. Outside of what we know so far I'm indifferent to all motion control. I've played the Wii on a very limited basis, on a number of occasions. My only gripe is that we as gamer...
I appreciate you posting that link. That was really a great example of how software solutions can be used with motion. It also gives me an understanding how the PS3 Wand controller will be just as effective as Natal. The fact that your link shows a regular camera, and PS3 one is a bit advanced does indicate that we can get deep engrossing motion gaming that can be used for hardcore titles. At the end of the day it's up to developers to prove what can, can't be done. As in that video it's show...
With this article is that the writer is screaming fire in a theater. What proof does he have outside of tech demos to say Natal won't be for hardcore gamers? How does he know that the software solution isn't a better one for both the system and Natal? Then what further is suspicious about this article is the fact that he says "I’m also in grey area regarding Sony’s motion controller, but to a lesser degree".
Wait a minute was it not Sony that introduced the eye toy year...
Dummies want to tell us Microsoft won't be making hardcore games for real gamers using Natal? Or would you like to just add to publicly being a moron for speaking out of turn without proof? I mean you haters are used to being wrong since this generation started. Then again some of you are also used to talkin out of your arse without information, or if it's there ignoring it...
I'm not saying if Natal will be a success, or the second coming of anything. I just don't get how people...
Will be fine. It's not really even about the device, it comes down to developers, and what they do with Natal. That's the part of the hate that makes me laugh. If a developer comes along shows just what can be done, along with Microsoft. Then why should it fail, and why would you want it too? Lion Head is listening to people doubting Natal, and Peter is high on it. Fable has been a really great series. So I doubt he's going to let people down if indeed Natal is part of Fable 3 somehow. I just...
By the trend of this gaming generation. When the Xbox 360 has a strong line up, like it does in 2010. The system ends up on top. Not only that you look at 2009, and they still did really well with less. Now if you are asking which line-up is best, that's a personal choice.
Not only that If Sony is really sure about their line-up then why don't they have GOW 3 go up against Halo Reach? We all know the answer already. So I doubt its a matter of better, but how they want gamers sati...
Articles written so far. I've been feeling, and wondering about this same topic myself. I think it's gone to far. They want to vilify him, and fine what he did was wrong, but people are doing this everyday. I'm more than sure some married woman was slobbing the knob of a man that was not her mate. Shoot she probably was watching television watching Tiger Woods, cursing that he's a damn liar. All the while bobbing her head. Men cheat, and so do women.
Since the 09 E3 MS has stated that they had no intention of Project Natal replacing the controller. Rather be a compliment, as well as be it's own thing. Meaning some games will be strictly Natal, while others will be a combination of interfaces.
The problem is you have hater fanboys on one side, and really slow haters on the other. They tend to comment before reading, or have the comprehension skills of a dead snail. I like to call them sensationalists. If you see the video of G...
Would be a better way to restart the series without trying to recreate the last titles. Taking some of the better ideas, mechanics over to the new game. In fact create new battle systems, story arc, characters, situations, places to see in the world. They could take it to a new direction that could be more fun, and that's the important thing.
